About Me.
My experience as an executive and personal assistant, secretary, administrator, receptionist, customer service representative and customer service assistant, has allowed me to work as part of a team and to deal directly with the public. I have found the many disciplines that I have worked within to be particularly valuable in teaching flexibility and also allowing me the chance to gain experience in different areas. I have a depth of knowledge and experience of relevant computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Canva, Wix, SAP, Google documents and many more. I believe that with my excellent organisational and communication skills, which I have developed alongside my progression through employment, I have the confidence to deal with, professionally and constructively, colleagues and the public, achieving the best outcome and results whilst under pressure.

My employment role at Oxford Innovations involved greeting and looking after visitors to the business innovation centre with a number of SME businesses based in the centre. The main parts of the role was ensuring that we assisted in growing and advising SME’s and sole traders with growing and expanding their businesses, along with ensuring the centre is legally compliant with fire safety and health & safety standards to ensure we were not open to any liability for injuries and tangible items using a bespoke IT software system, along with creating professional relationships with the clients.

My employment role at Univar comprised of looking after a large number of businesses and corporations with supplying their chemicals and additives to enable them to create paints, glues, food additives, toiletries etc. The main part of the role was using the SAP sales system, along with creating professional relationships with the clients ensuring that customers feel that they are important whilst dealing with any complaints on delivery or standard of chemical.

After an employment break, I resumed my employment journey by working for a psychology company, whose expert witnesses report to the court service in connection with Childrens Act procedures. As an administrator, I dealt with eight expert witness psychologists with organising their diaries and dealing with the appointment issues that can come with dealing with people’s personal lives, working alongside solicitors and local authorities to ensure that deadlines are met for the courts. Part of my role was proofreading the psychologists reports to ensure that they are grammatically correct, the correct formatting (as per easy reading court service requirements) also ensuring that all questions from local authorities have been answered within the psychologist’s reports. I also had to deal with the psychologist’s personal lives and issues. This role was very challenging due to the content of what we dealt with and confidentiality and non-disclosure is paramount.

I was promoted to this role from the sales department taking along with me all my experience of international travel, international meetings and reporting. Dealing and fielding emails and telephone calls to the managing director, including complaints.
Collating all reports and minutes for the managing director from the ten departmental director’s, alongside creating reports for the UK chairman and colleagues in the Augsburg head office and organising director level meetings including video calls to allow my international colleagues to join in the meetings.
I gained more experience dealing with human resources and looked after and worked alongside ten departmental secretaries.

MAN Diesel & Turbo UK Ltd is an international engineering company engineering, selling and servicing large diesel engines worldwide for container ships, trains, gen-sets and backup for nuclear power stations. As an international company, I experienced working alongside colleagues from around the world, having to take into account cultural differences, particularly when colleagues visited our company in the UK. I obtained vast experience in international travel including visas, entry requirements for other countries and entry requirements for colleagues travelling to the UK, cultural gifts and differences. In this very busy office, I became central to administration, dealing with meetings, reports, creating sales reports, director and managerial minutes and board reports along with fielding and dealing with complaints to the sales department. I also experienced organising, booking and completing entertainment events for the company within budget for internal staff and also external clients.

Crosby Lend Lease as a construction company built many iconic developments within Manchester. I was employed in 2002 as senior PA to the PA to the Chief Executive, Managing Director and Financial Director. Due to a management buy out and various fluctuations within the property market I was transferred from the managing director’s department to assist the sales and marketing department and lastly the construction department, where my role as PA continued to the directors and manager’s of each department, however also incorporating administration/secretarial support for each member of staff along with general facilities management of the head office in Altrincham.
